What we can do for your stand

Trade-fair staffing services, modular and available one at a time

Welcome, product promotion, languages, lead collection and coordination. Take a single figure or the whole team: the quote stays single and fixed, with OPEN S.r.l. as your only contractual counterpart.

Staff for the stand at the fair

Welcome, qualifying and display supervision at Rho.

In the furniture halls the visitor touches, opens, sits down. You need supervision that protects the display without stiffening the atmosphere, and can tell in seconds the buyer from the curious visitor.

  • Welcome in Italian and English, other languages on request
  • Visitor qualifying against your commercial priorities
  • Supervision and protection of the exhibited pieces
  • Appointment management with buyers

Staff for showrooms and city events

Brera, Tortona, 5Vie: the city is the second stand.

During design week the city spaces work long hours with continuous flows. We provide welcome, installation supervision, guest-list management and visitor assistance in showrooms and temporary spaces.

  • Welcome and supervision in showrooms and temporary spaces
  • Guest-list and by-invitation access management
  • Assistance and supervision of installations
  • Extended hours and rotation over several days

Product specialists and sales staff

People who can say the designer’s name and the delivery time.

Profiles trained before opening on collections, materials, finishes and designers. They can tell a piece with the words approved by marketing and recognise when it’s time to pass the negotiation to a salesperson.

  • Briefing on collections, materials and designers
  • Presentation script agreed with your marketing
  • Handling of samples and catalogues
  • Structured hand-over of the contact to sales

Interpreters and bilingual hostesses

The most international week of the year in Milan.

Buyers, architects and press arrive from all over the world. We provide business interpreters and hostesses with language level verified at interview, prepared on the terminology of furniture and design.

  • English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Arabic
  • Negotiation interpreting at the stand and in the showroom
  • Escorting delegations and groups of architects
  • Translation of technical sheets and floor materials

Cocktails, dinners and evening events

After 6pm design week moves into the city.

Presentations, showroom cocktails, dinners for clients and press: we provide welcome, guest list, cloakroom and floor assistance, in the same register as the daytime display.

  • Welcome and guest-list management
  • Cloakroom and reserved-area supervision
  • Floor assistance and coordination with catering
  • Staff available for evening and late-night hours

Fair + city coordination

Two fronts, one contact and one quote.

The service that avoids the hardest part: managing two different teams in two different places. One team leader per front, a single contact for you, shifts and replacements coordinated across the whole week.

  • A dedicated team leader for the stand and for the showroom
  • Shifts and replacements coordinated across the two fronts
  • A single agency contact for the whole week
  • A unified daily report

Sectors

How the service changes with what you exhibit

Headcount isn’t enough: the type of visitor and the average dwell time on the stand matter.

Furniture and complements

The heart of the show: large stands, pieces to touch, buyers by appointment. You need care of the display and the ability to talk about materials and finishes.

Lighting

Dim displays and delicate installations: staff must manage flows and safety in unconventional lighting conditions.

Kitchen, bathroom and surfaces

Technical product and specifications: here a product specialist is worth more than two welcome-only figures.

Office and contract

Professional counterparts, designers and architecture studios. Visitor qualifying matters more than the number of footfalls.

Showrooms and brands in the city

Permanent spaces open with extended hours, often understaffed. Temporary reinforcement is the most frequent request of the week.

Startups, publishing and design schools

Small spaces and tight budgets: one or two prepared figures are enough, as long as they can really tell the project.

Glossary

The words of trade-fair staffing

A minimum vocabulary to read quotes — ours and anyone else’s — without misunderstandings.

Design week
The April period when the fair is joined by the diffused programme of events, exhibitions and openings in the spaces of the city.
Dual front
The typical condition of those who exhibit in this period: a stand at the fair and a space in the city, with different and overlapping staffing needs.
Product specialist
The figure trained on collections, materials and designers, able to tell the product and recognise when to pass the contact to sales.
Display supervision
The task of protecting pieces and installations from excessive public contact while keeping a welcoming, unpoliced atmosphere.
Team leader
The person who coordinates the team on one front: attendance, shifts, breaks, replacements and a daily report to the client.
Exhibitor badge
The named accreditation that lets staff access the venue, requested by the exhibiting company on the show’s portal.
